What's the EASIEST way to communicate with Mrs. Rentrope?
EMAIL! crentrope@paradiseschools.org. I check my email every day and often reply right after school. Email gives me a chance to review your questions and put some time, effort, and research into your answers. I will not always have an immediate answer for you with phone or face-to-face requests, but I will get back to you as soon as possible with an answer. Please do not hesitate to stop by or call the room after 3:00 if you prefer to do so.
What do I have to sign and when?
It will be a part of your child's homework to get the agenda signed every Monday night for grade check. Failure to have an agenda signature will result in a missing assignment.
How do I know which assignments have been graded and applied to the Gradebook?
Any assignment that comes home with a PERCENTAGE on it will be put into the Gradebook to be applied to your child's cumulative quarterly grade. Other assignments with written comments, stamps, stickers, smiley faces... were for targeted skill practice and were assessed later on a formal test or project. Assignments without a percentage do not count for a grade in the Gradebook, but they do apply towards your child's responsibility/work completion/following directions... grades in the Behavior Skills section of the report card.
What's the easiest way to get a progress report in the middle of the quarter?
Grades are posted online on the PEC website. You should have received your user name and password already, but if you have lost it, please contact Christian Toniazzo by emailing him at ctoniazzo@paradiseschools.org. You can access your child's grades 24-7 at home so you may check as often as you like. Also don't hesitate to download the powerschool app on your phone to access grades as well.
