Math Expectations
Topic Lessons: The students are encouraged to stay focused, be involved and always try their best with each new lesson introduced. This will ensure that the students are comprehending the process and purpose behind each new concept. I've noticed that for some students they are capable of solving the problem, but have difficulties explaining how they came to that answer. My goal is to have the students not only understand the process, but understand why and how they got the answer they did. In order to accomplish this the students need to complete their classwork/homework on a daily basis, in addition to, asking clarifying questions throughout the day.

Math Grouping: The students will be grouped accordingly in order to successfully meet their individual needs during whole group and small group lessons. The groups will be receiving projects to help enhance and challenge the students on particular concepts throughout the school year.
On-line Activities: There are a variety of interactive games and activities for your child to build their understanding in math that can be found on-line. Please do not hesitate to contact me for assistance or be sure to check out the "Links" tab on my website.
Math Facts: It is extremely important for the students to have their (+, -, x, /) facts memorized. They form a solid foundation for many of the concepts taught in class. It definitely helps if the students practice each and every day for 10-15 minutes. This will make things a lot easier on them and help things run smoother in class.
